Welcome to Warwick West State School
Warwick West State School is a welcoming and friendly school with strong and valued community links. Our P&C Association is a forum for parents and the extended school community to communicate with the school and plays an important role in the life of our school. We are fortunate to have a vibrant, active and committed P&C, and see ourselves very much as a valuable, and valued, part of the team who work together to provide an optimal environment for our children in their school life.
Our P&C is committed to improving the facilities and quality of learning for our children and promotes fundraising activities to assist the school in providing education programs and resources for teachers and students.
There are lots of ways you can be involved.
Come along to a meeting
P&C meetings are open to all parents/carers of children attending the school and all citizens within the school community. At our monthly meetings you can hear all about what's been happening around the school, as well as having input into school programs, fundraising projects and how the P&C spends its money.
The Principal gives a report at each meeting about significant activities at the school. Meetings are held at the school at 6.00 pm on the second Monday of each month (school term time only). Everyone is welcome and we always look forward to seeing new faces.
You could help out with one-off fundraising events – Spring Spectacular Fete, Mothers' Day and Fathers' Day stalls, or any number of other projects that arise throughout the year.
These events would not be successful without the efforts of hard-working parents and community volunteer base, as well as our dedicated staff members.
I hope that if you are not already helping with P&C activities, then you will find a little time soon to do so.
Every new year presents us with another chance to support our children, this school and the wider community. I look forward to working together to help Warwick West State School SHINE throughout another exciting year.
