Together we can make great things happen
We understand that regular, open communication between home and school lays the best foundations for learning.
There are many ways that our school promote this ideal:
Firstly, parents are warmly welcomed and encouraged to play an active part in their child's education. The doors are always open at Warwick West State School.
Secondly, each year level team kicks off the school year with an open invitation to parents to attend a parent night where, together with our Principal, they share an overview of what to expect in their classrooms for the coming year. It's a great chance to meet and share valuable insights about your child.
Another useful conduit between teachers and parents is the term-by-term letter updating parents on details of teaching and learning content, assessment topics and dates as well as special events.
Parents are also invited to take up the invitation for a face-to-face interview with teachers during Semester 1 and again in Semester 2. Dates and times for these will be advertised in the school newsletters and accessible from the SOBS (schools online booking systems) quick link on the home page.
Lower school teachers manage daily homework diaries as an ongoing communication tool.
Student report cards are sent home to parents at the end of each semester.
Class
teachers use the School Stream app, as a daily form of communication for the classroom. This App is a free, safe and secure online platform that allows parents and teachers to
communicate digitally on a regular basis.
